About the This is Brilliant But I Like This meme
The This is Brilliant But I Like This meme template comes from a Top Gear reaction image of Jeremy Clarkson comparing two cars, praising one as "brilliant" while preferring the other. It captures the emotion of choosing a comfort pick, guilty pleasure, or nostalgic favorite over the objectively superior option, which is why this meme is widely used for preference jokes, comparison posts, and relatable reaction memes.
When to use this meme
Use this when you know one option is clearly better on paper, but your heart still picks the other one. It’s perfect for guilty pleasures, nostalgia choices, comfort picks, and those hilariously irrational preferences you’ll defend anyway.
